Anna Sóley is a vocalist and a songwriter from Iceland. She combines words and music seeking inspiration from literature and life. Modern jazz, folk, pop, and groove styles mix with impressionistic lyrics, spoken word poetry, and improvisation.
Anna Sóley and Kirsten Koch will perform a duo set in celebration of the single release “I Just Smile”. Both studied at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Arnhem and graduated in 2021.
They play songs written by Anna Sóley, in combination with reciting a couple of poems accompanied by music.
“I Just Smile” is a tune featured on her debut album, Modern Age Ophelia, which will be out this autumn.
