Germany’s back-to-basic’s black metal outfit Occvlta are one of the scene’s most beloved treasures. Since their official inception back in 2004, this now-quartet has only come up from the underground for air on a few occasions, knocking peers and fans alike off their feet every time.
Their 2010 demo ”We Command the Wolves” gained attention for its raw and minimalist approach to extreme metal – drawing influence from Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Darkthrone, with a distinct punk edge. An impressed Fenriz picked them as one of the very first acts for ”Band of the Week”, subsequently leading them to play the first edition of Live Evil festival in London. A new album titled ”Night Without End” will be released this spring on Dying Victims Productions in Europe and Electric Assault Records in the US.nt:

Aura Noir was formed in 1993 by Aggressor (Carl-Michael Eide) and Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe). Inspired by classic 80’s acts such as Venom, Slayer & Kreator, they sent out a couple of demos before releasing the underground EP ‘Dreams Like Deserts’ in 1995. In 1996, they were joined by Mayhem guitarist Blasphemer (Rune Eriksen), who contributed to the release of ‘Black Thrash Attack’, their first full-length CD.
