Burna Boy is set to become the first ever African artist to headline a stadium in The Netherlands.
The Grammy Award-winning artist is sure to deliver an unforgettable show at GelreDome stadium with thrilling performances, striking production and a next-generation sound.
During his full band sets, Burna Boy will perform all his popular tracks, proving time and time again that he’s one of the best performers on the scene.
Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 1991 and began making music at just ten years old. Early 2010s he emerged as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising starts, combining influences from his Nigerian heritage with pop to create unforgettable tracks.
Over the past years, Burna Boy collaborated with a long list of high-profile artists including J Hus, Beyoncé, P. Diddy, Wizkid, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and many more. His latest album ‘Love, Damini’ left the audience excited to see him set the stage alight at GelreDome stadium with his new music.

Het zaterdagavond geschrapte concert van zanger Burna Boy wordt op zondag 23 juli ingehaald in het GelreDome in Arnhem. Dat schrijft de artiest op Instagram.
Nadat fans zaterdagavond uren hadden gewacht op de artiest, werd het concert geannuleerd. Het concert zou eigenlijk om 20.45 uur van start gaan. Ruim twee uur later was Burna Boy nog steeds niet aanwezig.
Het is nog niet bekend waarom de Nigeriaanse zanger er niet was. “De vlucht van Burna Boy is door redenen die wij niet in de hand hebben te laat vertrokken”, schreef het GelreDome op Twitter.
De artiest zelf legt “de oorzaak van de schade” bij organisator GMTLive. “De organisatie zal niet meer betrokken zijn bij dit evenement of een ander Burna Boy-evenement in de toekomst.”
In zijn nieuwe bericht biedt Burna Boy excuses aan aan zijn fans. “Nogmaals mijn diepste excuses voor het ongemak dat gisteravond is veroorzaakt. Ik besef dat mensen van ver zijn gekomen en een show hadden verwacht. Ik begrijp dat ze bepaalde offers hebben gemaakt, met planningen, banen en families.”
Tickethouders krijgen een mail van de organisator. Burna Boy meldt zelf dat iedereen die een ticket kocht voor het optreden van zaterdag in juli gratis vervoer krijgt.
