De eerste editie van DOC’s Metal Massacre gaat natuurlijk bij ons vertrouwde honk Willemeen in Arnhem starten! deze editie opent het lokale geweld van VON MOLLENSTEIN, gevolgd door VIOLENTOR uit Italie, DEKAPITED uit Chili en als headliner hebben we UNDERCROFT uit Chili… industrial, death, thrash, punk… op een METAL MASSACRE avond van DHMP alles is mogelijk, als ’t maar METAL is !!

UNDERCROFT
UNDERCROFT have come a long way. The trio emerged from the obscurity of the Chilean underground as early as the year 1993 with the release of legendary demos “To The Final Battle” and “Demons Awake… Revenge Is Near”. Their reputation spread quickly over the South American continent and the “Twisted Souls” debut was unleashed two years later. Shows with KREATOR, THERION and famed MORBID ANGEL followed the release of “Bonebreaker” (1997). UNDERCROFT returned with their third album “Danza Macabra” (2000) after a small break for the first time featuring the by now classical and still active line-up. The success of this acclaimed recording led the band to relocate to Europe, where they worked with Swedish producer Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames) on their next full-length “Evilusion” (2002). A busy period followed in which the band performed on both sides of the Atlantic with bands like AMON AMARTH, KATAKLYSM and many others. Bass player and vocalist Alvaro Lillo, who also joined the live line-up of WATAIN, left the band for some time and was replaced on “Lethaly Growing” (2006) by a guest musician. When Alvaro re-joined UNDERCROFT, the Chileans decided to work with Daniel Bergstrand again on sixth album “Ruins of Gomorrah”, which will now be released by Season of Mist. Driven by a burning dark old-school spirit and sound that shows Southern American roots such as early SEPULTURA, this masterpiece nonetheless surprises by incorporating modern brutal Death and Thrash riffing. Prepare to be blown away!

VIOLENTOR
Thrash/ speed metal with crust punk influences from Italy. the Italian Bastards of Violentor are back on tour!
Violentor started in 2004 as main project of Alessio Medici as vocalist and guitar player. With a sound ixpired from 80’s metal and punk hardcore and releasing four albums, singles and playing several live shows Violentor is a garantee of worship and dedication to the resistance of metal. Mixing serial killers themes and social agression to the corruption and hypocrisy. Expect a massive dose of high speed metal.

VON MOLLESTEIN
Een moordlustige geile Mexicaan uit een horrorfilm. Pinnen die je angstaanjagend aanstaren. Lasers die je doormidden tjoeken…. alsof je naar een filmhuis bioscoop gaat. Cult met live muziek verzorging. Agro Black. Meeslepend en apart. Dat is Von Mollestein. De bassist en gitarist lijken dan ook de handlangers van de zanger. Het zou je niet verbazen als ze na hun show naar de dichtstbijzijnde motel langs de snelweg gaan, om alvast de kamer in
te richten om ‘s nachts een brute moord te plegen met een stevige fles whisky erbij. Dit word de nieuwe soundtrack van de mash-up film tussen From Dusk till Dawn/Hellraiser en Mad Max”
Von Mollestein kan het best omschreven worden als “Industrialized black metal” of ‘AggroBlack’. Hun muziek bevat zowel pure Aggrotech-beats als industriële composities vermengd met snelle, onbeschaamde (black) metalriffs.
