Fundraisenight for Project Bani Hayoune Garden

MANGO | MF ANDRADE | Marc Verhoeven

vrijdag 13 september 2024 / 17:00 – 03:00

Join our fundraise-event for a hot & sunny project in Morocco!

Project Bani Hayoune Garden is a grassroots non-profit located in the Sahara in southeastern Morocco. Fighting to make their fading oasis more liveable, project founders Said & Linde take a step in tackling desertification and aim to build an empowering workshop space for the women and children of the region of Beni Hayoun.

After working on this project for 5,5 years, together with the incredible help of volunteers from many places, it is now time to make some bigger steps. Money will be raised in order to have access to water for growing a forest garden, and to be able to start building the workshop space for the locals. Check out www.banihayounegarden.com for more info.

MUSICIANS:
Mango is based in Nijmegen but takes you to all the tropical places on the globe. Places where the sun is at its lowest, places where the water is the bluest, places where the vibrations in the air can be felt. These trips originate in Africa and have descended into Latin America via the diaspora. Mango has been rolling for over 9 years along places that need sunshine and rhythms.

MF Andrade is a Rotterdam home based artist, with Cape Verdian roots. He spread his tentacles to multiple corners of art. Start painting and developed his own style. Moved from painting to playing records and back. Now a days Andrade finds himself swimming in a pile of black gold after collecting records like a maniac. From studio one to old skool hip/hop, Detroit -House/Techno to dusty African tribe- like sounds and other heavy vibes from all over the world.

Marc Verhoeven is a composer and improvising pianist. When Marc improvises, he tells piano fairy tales for adults. He immerses you in a world, sometimes hallucinatory, sometimes meditative, but always full of surprising transitions; both in harmony and rhythm, and in atmosphere, from sweet to spooky, from sad to ecstatic.
