Intercultural Workshop – Surviving the Netherlands

If you are a newcomer to the Netherlands, or if you have been here for a while and are still challenged by the unspoken rules of how to fit in, then this exciting workshop is for YOU.

Arnhem Together and Christine Taylor, Founder & Owner of StoryCraft, are excited to be collaborating to bring you our first Intercultural Awareness Workshop – Surviving the Netherlands.

“Life in these Netherlands is wonderful – there are bike paths, lots of green, and endless opportunities to do things. But it’s also hard. There are new languages, unfamiliar social rules, and so many clouds”. Christine Taylor

This intercultural awareness workshop will give newcomers tools to ease your transition to life in the Netherlands. If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll gain some insight into just what some of these social rules are and in particular, how Dutch social circles work.

Christine has lived in the Netherlands since 2004, first in Haarlem and since 2011 in Nijmegen. It’s never been rainbows and unicorns, but she’s finally made it work. She taught intercultural awareness for 5 years at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam and now gives workshops in storytelling and intercultural awareness in Nijmegen and abroad through StoryCraft.

Location: Outfit Library LESS, Nieuwe Plein 13, 6811 KP Arnhem

We are keeping this event small and intimate which allows for greater interaction and connection.
