“Renato’s Journey in the Vortex”
is a jazz quartet formed in September 2018 by George Bizios in Arnhem, The Netherlands and the members are Milan Kuhn on alto saxophone, Costas Mavrides on double bass, Thomas Jaspers on drums and George Bizios on electric guitar. The music is based on the leader’s original work which consists of authentic song structures, collective improvisation and unconventional interpretation of time and tempo. The sound of the band can be described as contemporary/creative and has an openness to new opportunities for expression that improvisation has to offer in the moment.
