W1 Cafe: Pointless Spears + Vulpolar

Pointless Spears
Pointless Spears is in 2022 opgericht door zanger guitarist Pim van Drie. Na wat omzwervingen in de Australische Post punk scene vond hij dat he tijd was om in Nederland aan de slag te gaan met Aussie-Surf-Punk/Alternative Rock. Of zoals Pim zelf zegt; “we keken naar de Australische scène en dachten dat de Nederlandse muziek wel een extra band kon gebruiken die harde riffs combineert met catchy melodiën”. Denk aan Amyl and the Sniffers, Walken, Grogans,… Oud schoolgenoot Ferry Wienholtz pakte de lead guitar en ex Tufi Pazo leden Maarten Gribnau (bass) en Arthur Appelman (drums), gaven het geheel de benodigde ondergrond.

De set bestaat uit een lekkere mix van eigen nummers en bijpassende covers. Mooie songs met veel energie en een aanstekelijke feel.

Vulpolar
Vulpolaris a three piece alternative rock band based in Ede (NL) Their music is very versatile and dynamic, mixed with groovy, heavy guitars and drums. this combined with sounds of the 70’s and 90’s. The band is formed by Nigel in the summer of ’22 while jamming in the studio with Luigi (former drummer for Despicable Heroes) and Kevin (singer and lead guitarist by Royal Secret) Shortly after that the band started writing songs and is now ready to hit the stage! With that being said this group of musicians and this style of music can only mean that their shows will be a night you won’t forget!
